But, thanks for the try. Sigh, this is getting to be quite frustrating!

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the usb or hotplug stuff? But that seems to be a moving target as well.

For what it is worth, I also have a usb scanner and printer on the system and they work just fine.


Surely there is a solution!
