Hi, Try use ALSA 1.0.0rc2. There was changes in mixer for Audigy 2 addresing these isues:

There is not need to set capture source too (just capture volume), but it is needed to set Analog Mix (it is similiar to AC97) volume. Upgrade to ALSA 1.0.0rc2.
