Hi all, If we can't make mixer groups then I would like to submit that the mixer is broken for my Audigy2.
Settings: Master: 50% PCM: 50% (Front - Left/Right) Wave Center: 50% (Center) Wave LFE: 20% (Sub) Wave Surround: 20% (Rear Left/Right) Using XMMS to output sound to PCM: If I set PCM to 0%, only my Front L/R speakers go off. Center/Sub/Surround still have sound even if PCM is set to 0%. It is expected that NO sound is heard from any speakers with PCM output. Also, if I turn down MASTER, only Front L/R speakers are muted as well. Again, NO sound is expected from this setup. This also applies if sound is being recorded off line in and AC97 Capture. Furthermore, my Line volume control does nothing. I have to set it as the recording source to hear sound, but am only able to control volume via AC97 Playback Volume. That isn't really a large problem except most apps expect line to control line's volume and don't support 'AC97 Playback Volume'. Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 0.9.7 (Thu Sep 25 19:16:36 2003 UTC). Compiled on Dec 4 2003 for kernel 2.6.0-test11 (SMP). alsamixer (and gui) reports version 1.0.0 but package says 0.9.0.1.2-r3 Is there a way to fix this? Maybe with asoundrc?
