Hello all,

I'm currently looking for an alsa supported soundcard with working spdif input (optical input preferred).

I'd like to record stuff from an external source and have a look at the digital frames, ie. I'd like to do some kind of el-cheapo analysis.

I grepped through the code and found several chipsets that seem to have spdif input capabilities:
- cmi8738
- ens1373
- emu10k
- [...]

Unfortunately knowing that a driver supports spdif input doesn't really help to find a card which actually is equipped with spdif inputs. I don't know what the manufacturers are thinking, but most of the time you won't find any useful product descriptions on their homepages. 8-/

So I'd like to hear from other users which card they have and how spdif input is working for them.

Thanks in advance!

CU
Michael.
