note that snd_ prefix is obsolete now.
I know. I changed that in my modules.conf
anyway, if that is the whole entry, then no idea what's wrong. just a dumb question: you did run "depmod -a" and reload isa-pnp module?
I rebooted, which I think achieves the same effect.
