I think the RPM for Mandrake is called "kernel-2.4.x-src" or something like that. It should be about 20-30MB, so it won't be difficult to find. Hope it helps. Another option is to download the kernel source from ftp.kernel.org, but I don't know if this is a good choice, because maybe Mandrake people patched the kernel you're using and incompatibility issues may occur. Install the RPM of your kernel source if possible.
The full kernel sources aren't necessary, just the kernel headers. Look around for an RPM of the headers.
Debian will let you install just the headers, and asla compiles just fine on my Debian machine.
