As far as I know there are two models of the SoundBlaster PCI 128.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember one is based one the emu101 chipset and the other is based on the ensoniq 1370.
Ahh, yes ... I seem to recall some talk about this some time ago. I picked up my pci-16 a few months ago and it is definitely a 1370.
/usr/bin/pci -v
< snipped >
00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 02) Subsystem: Ensoniq Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI128 Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10 I/O ports at d000 [size=64] Capabilities: <available only to root>
Maybe the installation matrix could be updated to show the 2 alternatives. I think the key is the (rev 02).
