I hope someone can help me. I have a Red Hat 8.0 system with a
SoundBlaster PCI 128. I haven't been able to get sound to work at all.
Since the oss drivers didn't work (sox would hang trying to open the
device), I decided to try ALSA. When I tried to load the module, modprobe
segfaulted. I am using kernel-2.4.18-26.8.0 from Red Hat, and alsa
0.9.1-fr1 from freshrpms.net. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to
get sound to work, please let me know.
