Redid the whole damn process (with having to specify the kernel source path with every ./configure). And ???? Double crap still nothing the same bloody reply cant find the module. What next? if I can't get the sound to work I'm official deeming myself and linux a no go. I will then once again move back to windows until I can get my sound working. Isn't there a install like in windows? just install the drivers and it all works? It would seem that my pc sound will never work unless I use and old SB card and the newest DISTRO or Windows (GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)? Or am I just ranting and raving about nothing ? Sorry this is not aimed at U @ all Mathy. I greatly appreciate the help that U are providing, I just can't belive that is it so difficult to make a suround sound card work ! Thanks for the great help so far, any other Ideas or suggestions that I can try? I must be doing something wrong if other people can make it work !!! Cheers, M. ---------------- Cheers.
