Hi there!

I use an emu10k1 with spdif output enabled and alsa-driver-0.9.0rc2 on a

debian sid/woody.

Is there another possibility to chaage the output volume than moving the

"Wave Playback" slider? What I mean is, Alsamixer calls it Wave, gamix

Playback. Most client Programms (xine, xmms, mplayer, gkrellm, ...)

supports only direct access to PCM or Master. Is there a way to route

(or so..)

Similair Problem is, on my new Motherboard is a cmipci card, which spdif

output is not adjustable when enabled, ist that right or am I on th

wrong way?

Konsti

PS.: Is it possible that alsa-drivers became more sensible about system
load
with an 0.9.0-rcX release or tpgether with kernel 2.4.19X?

I think the alsa-drivers were more robust recently, now, when moving or

resizing big gtk windows (galeon) the sound cracks a little bit. I use a

Xinerame setup btw. But I thing with older versions of the kernel or

alsa-0.9x I was not able to break the output stream...
