Hi David,
Your mail was really inspiring. I have been trying to
get the sound on my MSI motherboard via8233 working
for nearlyu a month now. But all I have been able to
do is to get sound when I play Tux Race over RH 7.2. I
just can't hear the sound playing anywhere else.
I actually tried getting the alsa source as you
suggested but I am facing some problem conecting to
the alsa server. (Says that my proxy server doesn't
support http tunneling)
Is there a place where I can download the latest alsa
source other than going the Cvs way. Would this change
be available as a tar file sometime in the future.

thanks
Arvind
