Oh, it all seems to work, with the OSS emulation, so I have no no complaints
about that (well, it seems odd that only KDE Media player doesn't work, but
I have better alternatives, so I'm not gonna waste time worrying about it.

Maybe the new KDE 3, due in (a few) months will have latest ALSA support.

OK ... so I have to load sound fonts, before the MIDI devices will show up?
Or start to work?
I know that if I use the ALSA 0.5 that came with my Mandrake 8.1, I do see
the devices, without loading soundfonts.

I'll dig some more; I was using google searches, since the Geocrawler
searches have usually been fruitless for me (in the past, on other lists).
