I agree. You are not required to show what you are tracking as part of
your pledge. However, if I allege (via finger-pointing) that you have
failed in your task, the Referee is required to make a finding of fact
on whether you are indeed doing the tracking.
So I have alleged that you have failed, and it's simply up the Referee
to determine if the facts on the ground that you are doing what you
pledged.
If it was a simple and doable pledge "I pledge to jump up and down", and
you didn't provide evidence, then you'd be in the clear. The Referee
would say "it's very conceivable that e jumped up and down, I can't
prove beyond a reasonable doubt that e didn't."
But if the task is practically impossible, then e can say "it is beyond a
reasonable doubt that e has failed. The overwhelming evidence is that
e failed, because the task is impossible, so unless sufficient evidence
is supplied to show e is doing the task, e is guilty".
