While I agree it's a random and silly thing to strive for (and I'm not that sold on it), it's not as easy at all as you're making it sound. There's no way to transfer zombies directly, so it requires two parties to zombify and then win each others' respective auctions, which would be quite a challenge if there's any bidding competition. Contracts don't help at all AFAICT.
