This is a poorly-worded statement. "Legal name" is not defined, and has
many interpretations. "Along with" appears to literally refer to using
both types of name together for redundancy, which should be trivially
acceptable, but I think the initiator intended to consider using the
names as alternatives to each other.

If "legal name" refers to the name on one's birth certificate or
equivalent documentation from a non-Agoran jurisdiction, there have
certainly been cases where Agorans have not had knowledge of such names.
Although most of us have a conventional Western-style name somewhere
in our email headers, there's no guarantee of its legal status, and we
don't generally enquire.

A prime example: former player Kelly had the name "Kelly Martin" in eir
headers, but it later emerged that e was offline more usually known as
"Scott Goehring". I don't think we've established the non-Agoran legal
status of either of those names. In Agoran context both names (along
with the nicknames "Pink Bimbo", "Kelly", "Scott", and "General Chaos")
unambiguously refer to the same person.
