Colour problem: teal is just cyan. Wikipedia gives the hex triplet #008080. Since VCs are defined to have colours, not just colour-themed labels, synonyms will work. I compiled a list a few days ago of a set of suitably-distinct colours with distinct letter labels: Amber, Blue, Cyan, Denim, Emerald, Fern, Green, Heliotrope, Indigo, Jade, blacK, Lime, Magenta, iNfrared, Orange, Pink, aQuamarine, Red, Silver, Turquoise, Ultraviolet, Violet, White, flaX, Yellow, Zinnwaldite. This should save everyone the trouble. Criterion problem: awarding VCs in this situation will encourage judges and their friends to frivolously appeal sound judgements. The judge already has eir blue VC for judging, no need to reward again for no work. > (+A) A player who is a member of a judicial panel that judges a > question of disposition, and has not violated a requirement > to submit that judgement within a time limit, gains one > Aqua VC. Colour problem: aqua is just cyan again. Letter problem: I've already protoed using "A" for amber for repeated vote totals. Criterion is mostly OK. I wouldn't limit it to questions of disposition, in case we use panels to judge anything else in the future. >[No penalty for a late panel; Rule 2157 will already ding each member >a Black VC, Not directly. Black VC loss only comes in when a sentence of CHOKEY or EXILE becomes active, so it requires someone to bother prosecuting and the judge to think it serious enough. (CHOKEY with a tiny tariff makes black VC loss effectively the only penalty, so now makes an interesting sentencing option.) -zefram
