This is concrete. I like it. I've sent this request on to a methodology company I know of, who did massive work with IBM over the years. The owner was one of a team of 3 private developers who built and commercially deployed one of the first Upper-CASE tools on an OS/2 platform (1991).
I agree, getting hung up on semantics now won't enable exponential progression. Perhaps, investment-driven dev has mudified the waters to distraction. It cannot help but to force a multilinear path of "progression". Currently, I'm teaching my q-reasoning method to a gifted 10 yo. Her desire is to design and build her own robot. *sidenote: I'm planning such-like industrialized university campus somewhere down South. Opportunities website launching soon. Yesterday, we finished version 1.0 specification of her normalized, optimized concept system. She completed version 0.4 all by herself, without supervision, correctly. So proud of her! That whole spec only required a total of 10 hours - under educational conditions. The other 2 levels of deabstraction to come, may require another 15 hours. KICKER! An existing AI platform could perform this feat in real time. No need for "agi" per sé, only intelligence-in-action. However, ai require the appropriate algorithms to do so. It still lacks this intelligence. Knowledge is a GIGO system. IMO: All the tech already exist for automating fully-recursive learning. Q: What's holding AGI back? Maybe, it's us. We have closed minds, fixed paths, greed, and a sense of age desperation. The nextgen learners are ready to jump the curve. Enable them!
