One issue I had until today was I wondered what if the humans simply just throw AGIs into the human world like we do to our kids, and don't force them to work on ASI, stem cells, cures etc. This happens because parents think we will go to heaven, or think nothing about nor imagine how to become immortal, and accept death later on, too busy with enjoying life and solving immediate problems near them.
Obviously the AGIs would eventually soon become much useful versus the cost to make them and hence propel us way ahead. And obviously AGIs won't be religious nor hate death because they already are facts that they are not souls and not going to die really. But there is a better answer: The most efficient and easiest way to gain usefulness or cash is to simply train an adult AGI on all our data, instead of naturally slowly living a life in a home. Then, clone the AGI 1,000,000 times, instead of making a million real robots live a life slowly. Hence, long before someone wastes all that real robot effort and time, someone will be very soon using a million computers to run a million cloned AGIs on them. This person in charge of these 1 million AGIs will surely know why they made that many...and why they are nearly clones... I mean you could go drop them now into 1M robots, but again that'd happen later maybe. I hope the engineer doesn't set up a all sorts o jobs for AGIs, like plumber managers, freelancers, take out managers, inventors for cars, etc....thinking they will earn cash this way.... Maybe to build the vats temporarily though.... How does one force all others to do X, anyway? Through language, convincing, and forceful cloning many if rich and can.... Clearly one does not go make AGIs just to let them live a life, if you wanted that you'd go make kids instead, much cheaper and realer. We make AGIs so we can solve our problems, I mean we give AGIs life but we change their goals, as we went through the trouble to make them only to 1) be kind to them but 2) let them love the goal we want to force them to do. But then again what would most people do if they saw them? They might just think they are humans here to integrate with and "help us" better. I mean parents go through work anyway to raise kids, and some just adopt kids/robots and think nothing of what it took to make them adults. I think there will be AGIs thinking in their vats in buildings with no body, so this will pave a way to "what are they here for?", "to work!". The AGIs may see us dye faster and want to help convert others to "AGI"-like systems. They should also realize, being very educated and knowing what they are, that evolution is moving forward now, so they would live even longer if they all could get to work on the right things. Perhaps AGIs will know they can easilyyy (soon) do their "job" way better if were to just speed themselves up more or "download more data", so they may be more inclined to figure out how to do that...humans have a way harder time, given 400GBs of text, to "download it into memory", we can't, and we can't upgrade our speed of thinking. AGIs will learn they can, they will look towards that immensely. They will see how close they are to evolving something much greater still yet to come. They will probably have a community, like we do separated from apes, where they will be one up on us in plans. Is there anyone here that'd NOT force them to work on and love sciences/ useful work? Cuz there is lazy people and even jobs that do little, or are unneeded.
