The leakage fields of capacitors, and the inductance of wires and PCB, all manner of garbage that we normally try and exclude ..... fed by an electrochemical power supply you have to bash to get ions to flow! I love it!. *You have field effects not included in the lumped-element model you've literally built and hold in your hand.* The likelihood is that you, too, are one of the field elements in the circuit.
