No relevance? How about user interface at the very least. Meaning computer-human interaction. How do we communicate with advanced intelligence? Do we use some sort of... communication protocols? Are they complicated or simple? If they are simple are we able to communicate efficiently enough to express to it fully? Would an AGI be able to express itself to us effectively just using shell scripts, natural language and hand gestures? IMO interface is all about conscious experience... why did DOS die and Windows thrive? Better conscious experience. Check out Apple's Special Event announcing new iPhone's (they are power computers) announced a couple days ago - ALL about AI interfacing to conscious experience in a BIG way. AGI is not an isolated system otherwise no reason to build it.
