I like to flip the script.

Suppose Arabs in Michigan wanted to split off into a new state with limited 
political autonomy from the USA, and that we could expect that new state to be 
allied with, and supported by, Syria and Palestine.  Also suppose Joe Biden 
signed a deal agreeing to make it happen.  Now we've elected Donald Trump, and 
DJT doesn't follow through with the agreement.   Are Syria and Palestine now 
justified to invade Michigan?  Of course it's impossible, but the point is to 
look at the other perspective.   Sometimes the situation is so alien that I 
can't manage it, but in this case, I still have more sympathy for Ukraine than 
Russia.

That was a good article with details we don't usually see, and I do appreciate 
you sharing it.
