Just watch the video of the emergency workers telling the helicopter
guy he would be arrested if he went back and rescued that woman’s
husband. They forced the husband to be rescued via rope line across
a flooding river. Endangered him and the crew that had to hike in
and do the rope rescue. Helicopter could have just picked up the
guy and had him with his wife in 5 minutes.
Then a few days later they asked the helicopter guy to come back and
do rescues. Of course now it was “authorized”.
It is the mentality of those with “authority”. He was not
“approved” to to do the rescue. He did not break any law, there
were no temporary flight restrictions. He did not create a hazard.
He had permission of the guy to come back and land there to pick him
up.
He just did something that was not under the control of the
“authorities”. They know better of course. They threatened him with
arrest.
So, I find it super easy to believe that the “authorities” would
impound a truck of anything heading into the area they claim to be
controlling and managing.

Chuck there's a lot of space between not being a Paragon of

It is in the news. Just sayin’
I think it is nice that Elon is out handing out free terminals.
Just like that private helicopter pilot that rescued the woman but
was prohibited from making the return flight to get her husband, the
government is full of people that do not like mavricks. Elon
showing up with terminals and having local emergency people blocking
them or taking them for their own use is not beyond the pale.
Or are you really convinced the FEMA is a paragon of efficiency?

FEMA is confiscating starlinks Elon is sending to the flood area. He
is providing free service to anyone that needs it.
They are also interfering with shipments of starlinks even getting
to the areas.
Hmmm wonder if politics is involved....
