We can get drop cable plowed by a reputable, insured contractor for $3.50 on a good day, but OSP cable in a duct is a different story.
To get under $3.50 we’d be dealing with a one-man band moonlighting as an excavator. In NY there’s more work than there are contractors to do it so that may have something to do with the prices. Somewhere between $6-8/ft here in central Texas rural roads and rural subdivisions. Anywhere with more obstructions will cost significantly more due to the effort to avoid other utilities.
