I never liked BBs much. Always prefered DDs or DDDs... (Ba Dum Tss)

BBS was our social media back in the day. Especially when we had BBS with 2
lines so we could chat. Hooked up with a few women actually that way .. its
true

I ran a Macintosh BBS in the late 80’s on “Second Site” software and had
like all possible software cracked and ready for download on my 100MB SCSI hard
drive.

There were a few turn based online games on my system as well, that the
software “guy” updated every now and then.

I remember he gave me the pascal code at one point and I did modify some
stuff.

    Fun times!

Empire seems to ring a bell. It’s been over 30 years so kind of hazy and
most of the time spent was the middle of the night. It’s amazing how much less
sleep I used to need apparently.

Anyone into hardware these days wouldn’t even understand how basic stuff
was, a few hundred MB HDD was nearly a grand, to get lots of files online
for download cd changers would be used, pretty cool how it all worked.

Ahh the good old days, long before kids, house payments, employees, or
even Nagy clients, sub dollar gas, etc.

What did you run the BBS on? Our biggest local BBS ran on an Amiga 2000
with 24 modems but I don’t remember much else about it. I was one of the
sysops for a while………. Best part of it was the games. The Risk type game was
pretty much determined by whoever got in first after Midnight (when you could
make the moves for the day) who knew what they were doing.

leases.

Just curious if it can be done.
