The reason why PacketFlux Exists can be traced back to a BBS.

I ran a BBS briefly around 1990 or so while I was in college.

Then, the State of Montana wanted someone to do customer support and run their
BBS. So I applied for that job, got it and moved to Montana.

After going through internet withdrawals, I made a presentation to the local
computer users group about the internet and suggested a group of us start an
ISP.

That ISP turned into a WISP in 1997.

As we added sites we discovered we needed a cheaper cambium Sync Alternatives
and also site monitoring. Nothing really existed so packetflux was born.

So, one can trace the path from packetflux all the way back to me running a BBS
in college... each probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't run that BBS.
