I am probably just gonna let it get delivered. Wondering if I need AWD or the
long range battery. The only cross country trip I would be likely to make will
take 4 charging stops with this cheaper battery.

Adding about 2 hours to a 12 hour trip.

The only difference between batts is about a half hour more charging time on
that long trip. Same number of stops.
Maybe I will make the long distance trips, maybe not. I wonder of supercharger
use is still free?

Around Santa Clara Valley, and the peninsula around here, you can't swing a cat
without hitting a Tesla. We've made a couple of trips over Pacheco Pass, and we
have seen a couple dozen car haulers full of Teslas. We have cousins, and
several friends with them, and I only know one guy who was not happy with his
(a Model X).

I don't think you will get a good deal with a used one, and getting a recent
model will probably get you the mega-stamped rear frame/body component.

We're by a UP Auto-Train yard. The only think coming out of it right now is
Tesla's. Truck loads and Truck loads of Telsas. I would say every time I'm on
the thoughfare that feeds to it, I see between 3-4 auto haulers of Teslas
heading for the toll road. So they must be shipping alot.

Except for the one day where there was a whole line of Tesla's being driven.
No plates or tags, probably 10 of them, and a 15 passenger van in the lead.
Someone must have needed a delivery and there were no trucks available. I
thought it was interesting that every single one of the drivers was talking on
their cellphone (Holding up to their ear, and we're a handsfree state). "Hey
man, You'll never guess, I'm driving a Tesla, and getting paid for it!"

Model 3 They predict Sept to December delivery. $46K 375 mile range I

don’t see a use for an autopilot.

Which Tesla did you go for? What are they saying for lead time?

      Sorry, I started it.

Sometimes it is amusing to watch the Jaime and Steve show. Ken and Lewis
used to join in too but they couldn’t take it anymore. But we do have the OT
in the subject line so you can filter this kind of crap out.

But yeah, I think we have all vented now, and trolled the guys that need
trolling. Steve and Jaime got to make their hyperbolic comments.

So it is now dead until Lent is over. Next year’s lent.

BTW everyone, I ordered a Tesla. My 4th Leaf lease is coming due in July
so I took the leap. Did a test drive today and really loved it. I loved the
last 10 years of Leafs too but man this is a quantum leap of enjoyment.
