If that's the case, get a Tik and crack open the case.  Simply wire 48v right 
up - solder and heat shrink would be simple.

    I don't think the MT or Ubnt are 48v out of the box.

    With the MT people have regularly popped open the case and then just done 
48v bypassing the AC->48VDC PSU.
