It was round. All white like a vollyball. Might have been a penalty kick.

Sounds a lot like Rugby? I think that is pretty big in Ireland. The ball
isn’t perfectly round, but is a lot more round than an American football.

Biggest difference between soccer and rugby, when a player falls down clutching
his leg and looking like it is broken, it is soccer. 5 minutes later he’ll be
running at full speed again. In Rugby, the player actually has a broken leg
and never falls down, he just drags it behind him and keeps playing….. 😊

No, so maybe it wasn’t actually soccer. It looked like a soccer ball though.
It was round.

No. You can’t even touch the ball with your hands.

Or was it the goalkeeper, within the box?

Never been big on soccer. Played a bit in HS just because I could get as rough
as I wanted. That was the only draw for me.

But never delved deep into the rules.

Watching a TV show just now about some Irish kids playing their football. One
of the kids carried the ball quite a ways in his hands and then punted it into
the goal.

You can carry the ball in your hands?
