Sounds a lot like Rugby? I think that is pretty big in Ireland. The ball isn’t perfectly round, but is a lot more round than an American football.
Biggest difference between soccer and rugby, when a player falls down clutching his leg and looking like it is broken, it is soccer. 5 minutes later he’ll be running at full speed again. In Rugby, the player actually has a broken leg and never falls down, he just drags it behind him and keeps playing….. 😊 Regards, David Coudron From: AF <af-boun...@af.afmug.com> On Behalf Of ch...@wbmfg.com Sent: Thursday, May 7, 2020 6:42 AM To: 'AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group' <af@af.afmug.com> Subject: Re: [AFMUG] OT soccer No, so maybe it wasn’t actually soccer. It looked like a soccer ball though. It was round. Or was it the goalkeeper, within the box? Played a bit in HS just because I could get as rough as I wanted. That was the only draw for me. But never delved deep into the rules. Watching a TV show just now about some Irish kids playing their football. One of the kids carried the ball quite a ways in his hands and then punted it into the goal. You can carry the ball in your hands? ________________________________ -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com<mailto:AF@af.afmug.com> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
