There is a lot of bad information flying around here. An N95 or N100 mask absolutely will protect you from the virus IF WORN CORRECTLY.
The majority of America won’t. For it to work properly: It must be 100% air tight. When you exhale you should not feel air moving out the sides. There should be no facial hair. It should be tight around your nose. For best results run duct tape between the mask and your face. Additionally, air tight goggles are helpful depending on your situation.
