More like how do you hear the traffic over the speaker. Speaker very loud.
Note I’m talking about tone alignment of an SM, not a backhaul, those we use a
voltmeter.

Dogs sometimes run away because they don’t like the tone. Doesn’t seem to work
on wasps and hornets though.

How do you hear the speaker over the traffic?

I solved my problem by picking up one of these at Best Buy and leaving it for
the installer. BTW we typically use a small rechargeable amplified speaker off
Amazon. The C2G extension cables we already had wouldn’t fit into the 450b mid
gain, because the molded plastic part wasn’t “slim” at the male end, it was
more like the female on this cable.

The white one that used to come with an iPhone is a bit skinnier than average.

My calipers are in my other office, so I can't measure it at the moment, but
attached pic shows it side by side with a more "normal" sized plug.

I searched Amazon for "iphone 3.5mm headphones", and they seem to have clones
for $12 or so. I seem to recall you preferred headphones to earbuds, but
that's my only idea at the moment. I don't think I've ever seen the outer
width of the barrel specified.

What was needed was a “slim” body, the plastic or rubber molded part between
the metal and the cable. Cambium puts the hole for the jack right up against
the body of the radio so many plugs are too fat. I’m not talking about the
diameter of the metal part, that’s 3.5mm.
