Are you looking for same functionality, smaller size, fewer ports? Or
additional functionality, like integrating switch/router or lightning
protection? (I would be against that last one, I like lightning protectors to
be separate and modular so they can easily be replace if they take a bullet for
the team.)

Maybe you want a 4 port Rack Injector in a PowerInjector form factor so it can
go on a DIN rail? Or maybe you want something with switch or router
functionality, maybe fed via DC power + fiber, similar to an Edgepoint but with
Canopy or Cambium Sync? Or none of the above?

Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Compact rack injector?

Seems I am not the only one looking for a more compact tower top solution.
Ive beat cambium till the horse died about the cmm5 physical limitations it has.
Currently I am deploying the rack injector inside a DDB cabinet at 250' with
hardened
fiber switches to meet connections at that level.
As you can see this a fairly large cabinet with a lot of stuff in it to not
only provide the level protection but ease of
maintenance and performance criteria.
I would like to see something in the range of a CMM4 box with just DIN rail
modules for this same reason.
I have used some Rhino Power supplies to accommodate power if needed to meet 24
or 48v.
Forrest you almost have the complete design to make your cards fit a Dinrail
size box and add the controller in another din box. This would be the solution
for the size we need to build these boxes to a much more manageable size.

my 2cents

I'm not sure I know which possibly in development product you're talking about.

There are various products in various stages of development, not sure if any of
them match the description 'compact rack injector'.
