The 7.1.1 client has been improved so that it won't reboot without warning and cause havoc amongst our customers.
Good. But it still needs a reboot because of some components for the GUI. This means that something that should take 5 minutes now can take a very long time: Bureaucratic change process. Obtain downtime days or weeks down the road. Pay a technician overtime to do this trivial task at night hours. IBM should redesign the clients so that it is not dependant on extra software that requires a reboot. This problem was not present with 6.3 and earlier and the GUI for 7 isn't THAT spectacular so this should be possible.
