Hello TSM Admins, I have faced a little bit strange problem with TSM Scheduler and I need help very much.
I am sorry for very long message, but all information is required to understand problem. Daily schedule does not start automatically with SCHEDMODE PROMPTED in dsm.opt. On TSM Server I have a lot of messages like: Date/Time: 04/13/2010 05:50:06 Message: ANR2561I Schedule prompter contacting SMS-PRODSRV (session 8271) to start a scheduled operation. (SESSION: 2846) Date/Time: 04/13/2010 05:50:07 Message: ANR0403I Session 8271 ended for node SMS-PRODSRV (). (SESSION: 2846) They are coming from schedule start time till the end of backup window and, as a result, backup is missed. =================================================================== At the same time, in dsmsched.log after starting scheduler everything looks fine: 04/12/2010 08:14:37 TSM Backup-Archive Client Version 6, Release 2, Level 0.0 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Querying server for next scheduled event. 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Node Name: SMS-PRODSRV 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Session established with server BKME: AIX-RS/6000 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Server Version 5, Release 5, Level 4.1 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Data compression forced on by the server 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Server date/time: 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Last access: 04/12/2010 08:09:55 04/12/2010 08:14:37 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY BEGIN 04/12/2010 08:14:37 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY END 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Next operation scheduled: 04/12/2010 08:14:37 ------------------------------------------------------------ 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Schedule Name: DAILY_SMS-PRODSRV 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Action: Command 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Objects: C:\Inetpub\ftproot\root\CBMR\scripts\Daily.bat >C:\Inetpub\ftproot\root\CBMR\logs\TSM_Daily.log 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Options: 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Server Window Start: 05:50:00 on 04/13/2010 04/12/2010 08:14:37 ------------------------------------------------------------ 04/12/2010 08:14:37 Waiting to be contacted by the server. =================================================================== Next day schedule did not start again. Unfortunately, problem is still active. Maybe somebody faced similar problem? Kindest regards, Grigori G.
