Well, this is peculiar. This is a new 3584, firmware level is 5550. (Thanks to the folks who helped me figure that out yesterday!)
When I use the Tape Library Specialist (web interface) to set the SNMP destination address, the Tape Library Specialist crashes. That is, the web interface goes to "page not found", and won't reconnect. When I go to the LED and look at Network Settings under Ethernet, it says "Ethernet is not installed in this frame", which is of course not true. After a reboot, the Ethernet network settings reappear just as they were before. This appears to me to clearly be a problem with the Tape Library Specialist. 1) Is the level of the Tape Library Specialist considered to be the same as the firmware level - 5550? 2) Where does one research problems with the Tape Library Specialist to see if the problem has been reported?
