It seems to me that you have the option MANAGEDServices set to
'managedservices schedule'
or 'managedservices schedule webclient' in your dsm.opt file. If you specify
the schedmode=prompt option, the server prompts the CAD when it is time to
run the schedule. The scheduler will connect and disconnect to the server
when the CAD is first started.

If you just want the server to contact the client as specified in SCHEDMode
PRompted only then either REMOVE the MANAGEDServices option or rem (comment
it out).

Subject: ANS0299E when starting NT scheduler service

Hi all,

I've migrated one client NT 4.0 SP6 from TSM 4.2.0.0
to TSM 4.2.1.20. All was OK untill I tried to restart
TSM services, one of them (scheduler) doen't start and
reply in dsmsched.log file :

07.02.2002 14:27:13 ANS0299E Scheduler cannot be
started manually because the value of MANAGEDSERVICES
option is SCHEDULE.

ANS0299E message is not documented, so I've tried to
desinstall and reinstall this service by dsmcutil
utility without success...

Any idea ?

Thank's

Andy
