It has not been tested; it would probably work .. but, if something happens to 
the primary copy ... of some of the items ... I am not sure how you would 
coordinate getting everything synchronized, i.e. the dedup chunks stored in 
object storage and the objects in the SP/SPP server database if an event were 
to happen.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Azure blob soft delete

We are currently using Azure blob storage for Spectrum Protect Plus offloading 
and are looking to start using it for Cloud Tiering on Spectrum Protect but we 
want to use the soft delete function to give the cloud copy a measure of 
immutability.

Are there any pitfalls to enabling the soft delete feature?  It looks to be 
transparent to the client so my hope is that SP/ SPP will not ‘notice’ that 
it’s on and continue to operate normally.
