i have not used a pi zero, but i did try a pi 3b

the last time i tried the 9front wifi driver (back ported to richard’s pi port) 
i struggled with latency issues. and latency delays are a killer for 9p 
performance.

i experimented with cfs(8) and another more aggressive caching filesystem from 
charles, but i couldn't get it to perform anything like how wired ether.

having said this things may well have changed, this was about 3 years ago.
