before you've run anything but stats? that's interesting. it could be a problem with usb, but maybe it's just a plain old interrupt problem. if you have *nomp=1 in you plan9.ini, you could try removing it. that's a bit of a wild guess, but i do not see this behavior on my terminal with a usb mouse. and that machine has an intel atom processor, which should offer just the same performance as your t23. - erik
