I always try to plan for the worst case- I just wasn't sure how to arrive at the worst case. Thanks for providing the information- and I will definitely checkout the dtrace zilstat script.
Considering the smallest SSD I can buy from a manufacturer that I trust seems to be 32GB- that's probably going to be my choice.
