I think the industry is in a sad state when you buy enterprise-level drives and they don't work as expected (see that thread about TLER settings on WD enterprise drives) that you have to spend extra on drives that got reviewed by a third-party (Sun/EMC/etc). Just shows how bad the disk vendors are.
