This is one of the best ways I've found to do things.
Sorry to be off-topic for a minute, but VirtualBox has helped me prove
out a lot of things - especially with ZFS. It's easy to throw
together a configuration of what you have and what you want to do with
it.
Many times I do things in VirtaulBox before messing with my *real* data.
