QFS, like
other write-forward and/or delayed-allocation file systems, does not incur a seek per I/O. For sequential writes in a typical data capture application, there are no seeks at all (save for those required to move sequentially).

Then the gains from giant I/O size should not be that large (do we have number here ? are we talking small % points)
unless the I/O scheduler  is less efficient than ZFS'
