IIRC upgrade on system with Zones won't work (it was only lately
integrated into Nevada).

However once patches will be released (not counting patches on U3's
dvd) you will be able to get all functionalities of U3 just by
patching.

I guess you could also try to get this patches right now form U3 DVD.
