Agreed. Collecting all these cases in the issue tracker will be useful. Course, vty's issues with hard-coding it's keycode parsing and control strings are well known. Still, as I'm unfamiliar with the details of how people configure their terminals and the expected behavior from some configuration individual issue reports would be helpful. I've been reading the vim and emacs source code to get a better idea on how support multiple terminals effectively. Looks esoteric at best.
