Keep in mind that a lot of mailing list users don't take a look at HTML parts of emails. Not that long ago I also was one of those subscribers. Consider to at least sent multipart messages containing plain text and HTML or even better just sent plain text messages and no HTML at all. HTML emails are the enemy of good emails. Using HTML for emails gains absolutely nothing, but causes countless unsolvable problems.
