From the DisplayPort on the laptop it goes to a DP -> DVI and then I
have a DVI -> HDMI adapter.  Then HDMI cable into the TV.

I'm not too sure what you're asking here.

Yes.  There are three HDMI inputs.  I've tested on all three with the
same result.  On the TV I have to set 'overscan' to 'off' for the
display to fit.  I also set 'gamemode' to 'on' otherwise the mouse lags.
