Hello,

Simply open the DocBook documents you have using menu item "File|Open" or create new DocBook documents using "File|New". XMLmind XML Editor should automatically detect that these are DocBook documents and adapt its user interface accordingly.

A DocBook document opened in XMLmind XML Editor is displayed like in this screenshot, https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/screenshots/styled_view.png , that is, styled, looking like a document opened in a word processor.

If your existing DocBook documents fail to open in XMLmind XML Editor or open OK but are displayed as unstyled, "XML nodes", then please send us a sample DocBook document of yours so we can diagnose the problem.

Also please take a look at this tutorial: https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/tutorial.html . Nearly all the lessons found here are based on DocBook documents.

For example: "Basic editing", https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/basic_edit/index.html . Corresponding screencast: https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/basic_edit/video/basic_edit.html

Cheers,

Greetings, I was unable to find information I'm sure has ben answered
1000x already :)

I'm looking to use XMLMind to edit docbook and also be able to view
elements allowed within the docbook XML structure.

for example:

<chapter>
<title/>
<para/>
</chapter>

I'm looking to have the left side views display valid elements when
editing the docbook XML. I cannot find this in the menus and am
unsure how to get this working.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks
