Thank you Hussein!
The solution in our case was to follow your suggestion and set display scaling
to 300%, which works well.
There is one exception though -- the scroll bar does not seem to scale and ends
up extremely thin.
That, however, is just a slight annoyance, not a major problem.

Which version of Java do you use to run XXE v9? If it's Java v1.8, then
    please refer to this FAQ:
    ---
XMLmind XML Editor looks “fuzzy” on the HiDPI screen of my Windows 10
computer. I thought HiDPI screens were well supported by XXE. How to fix
    this problem?

    See last paragraph below.

If the above FAQ does not apply to your issue, then:

--> Please do *NOT* change the font size of the content.

--> Instead, please select "Options|Preferences", "General" section.

In the "Display scaling" frame, click "Use custom settings" then use the
slider to increase the "Display scaling" percentage.

See attached screenshot. (On the 4K screen of my Linux box, I use a
    custom value of 175%.)

    See also
    https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/generalOptions.html

This setting is done once for all.

If my answers do not help you to solve this issue, then please send me a
screenshot and also a copy of your working environment (for that, please
use the "Copy" button of "Help|About XMLmind XML Editor") because this
would mean that you have uncovered a bug.
