Sorry but we don't see what could be the problem. May be it is specific
to your working environment (Java version, Windows version, anti-virus,
etc).
You should start XXE from a command prompt using
XXE_install_dir/bin/xxe-c.bat, use the online help system and then check
whether error messages are printed there.

PS: An alternate way to display some online help is selecting menu item
"Help|Full Documentation Set".

PS #2: v7.6 (December 12, 2017) is the very first version to have the
new online help system. See

latest version of XXE would certainly help.
